Luís Vieira is the man behind Parras Wines. Steeped in wine culture by his parents and grandparents, he envisioned himself making a career in the winemaking business from a young age. in 1999, after getting his education and managing a business in Argentina, he returned to his homeland and purchased the Quinta do Gradil winery in Lisboa. Over the years he acquired more wineries throughout Portugal and developed working relationships with growers in the region. In 2010 he established Parras Wines, thus merging all of his wineries under one umbrella.
The "Costa Lusa" is a blend of Tinta Roriz, Touriga Nacional, and Syrah sourced exclusively from vineyard holdings in Lisboa. It is full-bodied and smooth as silk, with aromas and flavors of cassis, black raspberry, and black cherry. On the palate, accents of vanilla, baking spice, and wet stone add layers of complexity; moderate acidity adds balance. This is a wine priced for everyday enjoyment that you would be proud to serve with a very special meal.
