PRODUCT OVERVIEW:
Established in 1982, Montinore Estate is one of the largest producers of certified estate wines made from Biodynamic® grapes in the country. The Montinore Estate is owned and operated by Rudy Marchesi. His grandparents, who emigrated to the United States from northern Italy, grew their own food, made wine from their own grapes, and instilled in their grandson a love of the land and a desire to live sustainably.*
Rudy purchased the property that is now the Montinore Estate after years spent making and selling wine on the East Coast, followed by a few more developing his winemaking skills at other West Coast wineries. He officially became the proprietor in 2005 and keeps his grandparents’ legacy alive among the vines.*
A consistently well-crafted Pinot Noir at a great price, the 2019 vintage of “Red Cap” is no exception. Aromas of brambly Bing cherries and raspberries follow on the smooth-as-silk, medium-bodied palate; the fruit flavors are laced with notes of wet stone.
