PRODUCT OVERVIEW:
Diego Conterno, who's family name is practically synonymous with GREAT Barolo, has been making wine for over 30 years. After establishing a successful winery in the historic village of Monforte d'Alba with his cousins, Claudio and Guido Fantino, Diego struck out on his own in 2000, building a winery in the center of the land that he knows intimately well and working vineyards that have been in his family for over four generations. The wines of Diego Conterno are THE REAL DEAL.

Today’s wine is sourced from vineyards in Monforte d’Alba, on hillsides with south-western exposures and soils of calcerous marl. It is medium-to-full-bodied, well-balanced, smooth, and well-integrated, with a perfumed nose of rose petals and tarry red fruits that give way to a palate of brambly red raspberries and cherries entwined with notes of anise, nutmeg and the merest hint of licorice.
