Quenardel & Fils is located in Verzenay, a charming village steeped in history: its soils and vineyards are famed since Gallo-Roman times. In 1873, an unofficial ranking placed it among the three best Crus of Champagne: Aÿ for Marne Valley, Cramant for Côte des Blancs and Verzenay for Montagne de Reims. Out of the 320 grape-growing villages in Champagne, only 17 are ranked Grand Cru for the quality of their grapes. Montagne de Reims (286 meters / 879 feet) influences and protects the terroir of Verzenay renowned for its Pinot Noir, endowing champagne with exceptional character, structure and aging potential.
This Brut Rosé Reserve NV has been crafted to a remarkably high standard. The wine is a blend of 70% Pinot Noir and 30% Chardonnay sourced from the estate's own 20+ year old, Grand Cru vineyards in Verzenay, Montagne de Reims.
"This Rosé is a harmonious assemblage of traditional Champagne grape varieties. The addition of red wine from Verzenay gives it a beautiful light salmon color. This champagne will pleasantly surprise you with its red fruit aromas and a remarkable freshness on the palate." (winery tasting notes)
