Cantina Numa is a small organic estate in the hills around Fermo, overlooking the Adriatic coast. It is owned and operated by Cristina Fausti and the oenologist Domenico Angelo. They bought the property in 1997, planted new vines in 1998, and in 2010 completed their conversion to organic farming.* Passerina is the name of the local grape found in the Marche and the name of the DOC for wines made from the varietal. The Italians love to confuse us but bear with then, because you will be rewarded with wines that are distinctively delicious, just like today's offer!
The 2018 Cantina Numa Passerina has aromas of white flowers, melons, and stone fruit. The palate is racy and clean, with dominant flavors of Honeydew melon and cantaloupe. Its intense flavors are perfectly balanced out by racy acidity, making it just perfect for those hot, sunny days under the sun.
