PRODUCT OVERVIEW:
Les Trois Pécheurs consists of 3 hectares of hillside vineyards between the towns of Prissé, and Davaye. The small size of the property enables owner René Gonthiez and his family to lavish plenty of attention on the vines. The unique limestone soil, which seems like it made its way down from the Côte d’Or, is perfect for growing chardonnay grapes. The large rocks in between the rows of vines keep the vineyards warm, well after the sun sets. (from importer notes)
Today's wine is rich yet light on its feet, thanks to lees-aging and malolactic fermentation along with bright acidity. Aromas of apricots, peaches, apples, and lemon zest follow through on the rich, round, palate. That balancing acidity is infused with notes of wet stone and herbs, bringing the wine to a long and delightful finish.
