A to Z Wineworks was started in 2002 by Oregon wine industry veterans: Deb Hatcher from Eyrie Vineyards, Bill Hatcher from Domaine Drouhin Oregon, Sam Tannahill from Archery Summit, and Cheryl Francis from Chehalem. The two couples worked in the Hatcher's kitchen to build the original blend honored by Food & Wine Magazine as the Best American Pinot Noir under $20. Recognition for A to Z wines as offering dependable quality for great value continues today, making A to Z the top-selling Oregon wine brand.
The 2018 A to Z Wineworks Oregon Riesling is expressive and complex, with floral aromas and flavors of lime, tangerine, gooseberry, and apricot fruit characters entwined with notes of honey, mint, jasmine, and green tea. The palate is impeccably balanced with a rich, round mid-palate, refreshing, mouth-watering acidity, and a bare touch of sweetness.
91 points, Wine Enthusiast Magazine:
"Off-dry in style, this pops out a tasty mix of orange, grapefruit and apple fruit, with acidity that suggests a dash of lemon tea. There are more highlights, unexpected in a wine at this price, bringing floral and honey notes on through a lingering finish." (8/1/19)
