Bouchard Aîne et Fils has been making top-notch red and white Burgundy since the 18th century. In more recent years, the winery has expanded its operation, venturing to the viticulturally rich terroir of southern France to work its magic and craft wines that just blow up the price-to-quality ratio.
The 2016 Bouchard Aîné et Fils Pinot Noir Pays d"Oc is vibrant and fruit-driven; both its nose and palate are redolent with red raspberries. The palate displays accents of savory herbs, spices, and vanilla, with the merest hint of white pepper emerging on the finish. Soft tannins strike a perfect balance with its bright acidity, making it just a fabulous wine to enjoy with or without food.

Pinot Noir from the Pays d’Oc region is vinified in the traditional Burgundy method; de-stemming and crushing followed by cold maceration and a two week fermentation period in temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks. Part of the juice is then aged in Burgundy barrels using only French oak, the rest kept in the tank. The winemaker then creates the best blend of both juices while respecting the rich Pinot Noir fruit.
