Ca' di Sopra was founded in 1967 by the Montanari family. The estate is situated in the hills above the city of Faenza. 29 hectares, with elevations of 400 to 800 feet above sea level, are under vine; the clay and calcareous soils bring forth wines of immense depth and complexity. The family is dedicated to embracing innovation while respecting tradition and crafting wines that beautifully express varietal character as well as terroir.
The 2020 Ca' di Sopra Ravenna Remel Vino Rosso is a dreamy wine for those who love reds that are big and ripe with a distinct sense of place. It is unmistakably Italian! Aged for 12 months in barrique, it is full-bodied and powerful yet graceful, plush, and smooth, with aromas and flavors of cassis and black raspberries entwined with brambly earth, garrigue, wet stone, and moderate acidity.
