Eric Daffau, owner and winemaker of Château Belle-Garde, purchased Château La Croix Caperot with his brother-in-law, and it is a true family-run operation with passionate, knowledgeable people overseeing and participating in all aspects of the winemaking process. Everything from bud break to bottling is carried out with great care to ensure that the finished wines are the highest expressions of varietal and terroir.

The 2018 Château La Croix Caperot Saint-Émilion Grand Cru was sourced from the very best sites on the estate and was aged for 18 months in oak before bottling. Medium-to-full-bodied, plush, and silky, it is resplendent with ripe blackberries, black cherries, and cassis on the nose and palate. Accents of cedar, cocoa, and baking spice add depth and dimension. Pliant tannins add structure without detracting from the wine's smooth texture.
