PRODUCT OVERVIEW:
Chateau de la Bigotière is situated about 20 km south of the Loire Valley city
of Nantes, located on the Loire River estuary, France's royal river, just before the Atlantic coast. This is Muscadet territory, and between Nantes and Clisson stretch Muscadet vineyards planted to the Melon de Bourgogne grape variety. In France, the food and wine pairing of oysters and Muscadet is regarded as ideal as this light minerally white wine comes from vineyards next to the sea, where sublime oysters are produced. The Atlantic influences Muscadet and the wines often have a saline, marine quality.
Brothers Cedric and Christophe Gobin operate 70 hectares of vineyards located in the heart of the Muscadet Sevre et Maine zone.
The family’s motto is "A love and a seriousness for work well done".
