PRODUCT OVERVIEW:
Château Palene is a family-owned estate located in the village of Ladaux in the heart of the Entre-Deux-Mers appellation of Bordeaux. The estate covers an area of over 50 hectares of vines that have been in the family for more than a century. Today, Château Palene is one of the oldest Bordeaux estates in the region and is managed by the family’s 4th generation of winemakers, Christine Maubrac and Eric Guérin.

Today's wine is a blend of 50% Merlot, 40% Cabernet Sauvignon, and 10% Cabernet Franc sourced from vineyards that are 30-330 feet above sea level, with excellent east-to-west sun exposure and with soils composed of clay and limestone. Medium-to-full-bodied, it is loaded with aromas and flavors of blackberries, blueberries, and cassis. Secondary flavors of vanilla, herbs, and wet stone emerge on the silky mid-palate. The tannins are pliant, and balancing acidity carries the wine to a long and satisfying finish. FABULOUS!
