PRODUCT OVERVIEW:

Contrámalini is a small winery in the heart of Valpolicella owned by third generation winemaker Fabio Tezza. With only 4 hectares under vine (with half of that rented out to another winemaker), Tezza has the time to lavish plenty of attention on his grapes as well as every aspect of the winemaking process. His wines reflect his passion and dedication.

Today's offer is a Superiore crafted from Corvina, Corvinone, Rondinella, and Molinara grapes from Valpolicella Classico that spent 36 months in Slovenian oak barrels, followed by 4 months in bottle, before release. It has brambly red and black fruits on the nose; the palate is medium-to-full bodied and silky-smooth, with flavors of plums, raspberries and cassis. The tannins are well-integrated with the plush fruit characters, which have maintained freshness due to the vibrant acidity that brings the wine to a long finish
