PRODUCT OVERVIEW:
Domaine les Bruyères is based in neighboring Crozes Hermitage but its 27 hectares of vineyards are spread throughout the northern Rhône. The estate has been managed by David Reynaud since 2000; he aims to produce great wines by working in harmony with nature. To this end, the vineyards are certified organic and biodynamic, and the fruit is hand-cultivated throughout the growing and harvesting processes.

Today’s offer is a mono-varietal (100% Syrah) sourced from vines aged between 20 and 30 years. The wine is vinified and aged in a combination of concrete vats and demi-muids. Medium-bodied and complex, it has aromas of smoky black fruits that lead to a palate redolent with cassis, black cherries, and black raspberries laced with accents of savory herbs, woodsmoke, and underbrush, with vibrant acidity that keeps it light on its feet.
