Four Hearts Vineyards Chardonnay is crafted from vineyards located in the heart of the Russian River Valley AVA. These vineyards average nearly 40 years old and are planted with very diverse Chardonnay clonal selections. These clones are harvested and fermented separately and only the best barrels from each lot are blended to create the final cuvée. The 2016 Hartford Court Four Hearts Vineyards Chardonnay has a weighty texture (thanks to malolactic fermentation on the lees in French oak) with spicy, layered flavors and finishes with a brightness that reflects the cool climate origins of the vineyards that comprise this blend.
96 points, Robert Parker's Wine Advocate
"Already in the bottle, the 2016 Hartford Court Chardonnay Four Hearts Vineyards opens with a lemon tart, pink grapefruit, pineapple and ripe apple notes with touches of nutmeg and croissant. Medium to full-bodied, rich and with a pleasantly oily texture, it delivers ripe tropical fruit flavors and a long, creamy finish." (12/29/17)
