PRODUCT OVERVIEW/REVIEW:
The 2021 Hess Persson Estates Hess Collection Iron Corral Cabernet Sauvignon
is named for Iron Corral Vineyard and is the Hess Collection's first new estate wine in 20 years. Blended with small amounts of malbec, petite verdot, and petit sirah and aged for 18 months in a combination of new and seasoned French oak, Iron Corral Cabernet is complex yet accessible, designed for immediate enjoyment with the capacity to age gracefully for years to come. It leads with bold black cherry flavors layered with espresso and cocoa with supple, well-integrated tannins.* Check out the press!
92 points, Wine Enthusiast Magazine:
"Rich, broad, and mouth-filling, this generously fruity and gorgeously oaky wine is tempting to drink soon for its delicious red and black cherries, black currants, and milk chocolate. Moderate tannins give it an appetizing texture. Best from 2026–2036." (12/31/23)
