PRODUCT OVERVIEW:
Founded in 1973 by Alain Maurel and his father, Maison Ventenac was taken over by Stéphanie, the eldest of Alain Maurel’s three daughters, and her husband, Olivier Ramé. With experience in winemaking and enology in all four corners of the world, they have managed to combine “old world” tradition with "new world" innovation.

Located in the heart of the Cabardès appellation near Carcassonne, Maison Ventenac has 160 hectares of vineyards planted in clay and limestone soils that soak up the Languedoc sun tempered by Atlantic breezes. The Ramés are committed to farming sustainably and cultivate their vines without the use of chemicals. They eschew the use of new oak and vinify their wines in stainless steel; these practices ensure that their finished wines are aromatic, lively, and fresh.
