Taking an innovative approach to the current wine market, Berman combines bold creativity and passion to produce something not currently seen on shelves. As a long-time supporter of the arts, he wanted to create a brand that would celebrate the work of gifted artists and offer a unique experience to new and established wine consumers. With the Modern Myth Wine Project, he has achieved that goal.*

The Red Menace is a special cuvée from Modern Myth Wine Project and features the work of renowned artist Raúl Gonzales III, an award-winning illustrator, author, and artist. Crafted from 100% merlot sourced from the southern Rhône Valley, close to the Pont du Gard, a 2000-year-old aqueduct built by the Romans, it is an intense expression of the varietal, thanks to the vineyards' chalky sand and clay-based soils, which make magic with merlot, and the area's abundant sunshine, which brings forth ultra-ripe grapes.

The 2022 Raúl Gonzalez Red Menace is rich, ripe, and ready, with aromas and flavors of blackberries, black cherries, and cassis. On the palate, the fruit characters are laced with accents of baking spices, laurel, and sage. Pliant tannins and moderate acidity bring balance and structure without detracting from the wine's plush fruit profile.
