PRODUCT OVERVIEW:
Domaine du Carroir Perrin is located in the town of Verdigny, just a stone's throw from Sancerre. It is owned by Pierre Riffault, whose family has been farming and winemaking in Sancerre for generations.
In 2005 Pierre's son Bertrand joined his father at Domaine du Carroir Perrin; he took over the reins in 2007. Like those of his father, his wines are blends of fruit from several vineyards with varying micro-terroirs. This practice ensures that the finished wines deftly balance fruit characters, acidity, and minerality.*

Today's wine was aged on the lees for several months to preserve aromatics as well as add depth and complexity. It has aromas of peaches, white flowers, and lemon zest and a palate of pink grapefruit laced with notes of white peach and Honeydew melon. A thread of herb-tinged, stony minerality is woven throughout the fruit flavors, a nod to the wine's Kimmeridgian origins. The finish is long and bright, begging you to take another sip.
