Introduction:
A rustic and charming red from Portugal’s Alentejo region, the 2023 Herdade do Esporão Pé Tinto Vinho Tinto is a field-blend masterpiece made from hand-harvested grapes foot‑treaded (“pé tinto”) in granite-limestone soils. Vibrant and expressive, this wine is both artisanal and delightfully authentic.

Terroir:
Planted on granite and limestone soils in Alentejo, the vineyards enjoy a warm Mediterranean climate tempered by Atlantic breezes. The granite enhances elegance and lift, while limestone imparts tension and minerality.

Tasting notes:
The 2023 Herdade de Esporão Pé Tinto is a medium-to-full-bodied, velvety-textured wine redolent with aromas and flavors of crushed blackberries, black raspberries, and black cherries. Accents of wet stone and Mediterranean herbs appear on the mid-palate, while soft tannins and bright, juicy acidity make it simultaneously a decadent aperitif AND a great food wine.

Overall Impression:
An authentic red that beautifully captures the spirit of Alentejo. Ideal with grilled sausages, roasted lamb, mushroom stew, or hearty vegetable dishes. Enjoy now through 2026 to savor its raw charm and energy.
