PRODUCT OVERVIEW:
Visan is one of the 21 Côtes-du-Rhône villages that are authorized to include their name on wine labels. Characterized by soil rich in clay and layered with stones as well as a Mediterranean climate tempered by the Mistral winds, Visan brings forth rich, layered red wines with dark, brooding fruits, firm tannins, and earthy, spicy accents. Domaine La Guintrandy has been a family estate in Visan since 1850 and is now run by fifth and sixth generation owner-winegrowers Marie-Claude and Olivier Cuilleras, whose intimate knowledge of the land allows them to craft expressive wines that deeply convey their origins.
A blend of Grenache and Syrah, this wine is full of dense, rich fruit flavors of blueberries, strawberries, and licorice. Lively acidity provides a layer of freshness with mineral notes.
