Delamotte was founded in Reims in 1760 by François Delamotte. At more than 250 years old, it is the fifth-oldest house in Champagne. After Delamotte moved to a beautiful mansion at the end of the 18th century, François' brother Nicolas Louis Delamotte, also known as the Chevalier Delamotte Barrachin, assumed management.
In 1988, the House of Delamotte joined forces with the enigmatic Champagne Salon under the umbrella of the parent company, Laurent-Perrier. Today, the House of Delamotte and its sister company Champagne Salon are under the direction of Champagne aficionado extraordinaire Didier Depond.
The NV Delamotte Brut is a blend of 60% chardonnay, 35% pinot noir, and 5%
pinot meunier, a combination that lends the final blend structure, depth, and gorgeous fruit characters. Aged on the lees for 3 years to add further complexity and richness, it beguiles the senses with aromas of lemon zest, brioche, green apples, and honey. The palate has a persistent mousse and a creamy texture, juxtaposed with crisp, stony minerality, and has flavors of white peach, passion fruit, lemon curd, and apricot. The finish is long, with lingering notes of wet stone and citrus notes.

"Honey, pastries, lemons, and grapefruit on the nose, followed by a silky, creamy, and medium-bodied palate. Fresh and balanced, with soft bubbles and gentle honey notes to close." (7/15/25)
