The Austrian varietal grüner Veltliner has become a superstar among foodies, sommeliers, and chefs because it brings forth wines that pair beautifully with so many cuisines (Pro tip: It rocks on its own as a porch-pounder, too!). It is no surprise that grüner veltliner, or "GrüV", has successfully made its way across The Pond, making terrific wines in the cooler climate of the Willamette Valley.

The family-owned Scenic Valley Farms in the Willamette Valley, Oregon believes sustainability is the key to not only preserving our natural resources but also making clean, precise wines that reflect their origins. Their philosophy is reflected in their grüner veltliner. 

The 2023 Scenic Valley Farms Grüner Veltliner is expressive on the nose and palate, with aromas of Granny Smith apples, pears, lime zest, and floral, peppery undertones. The same fruit characters dominate the palate; they are layered with accents of white pepper, wet stone, and elderflowers. Bright acidity brings the wine to a long finish.
