La Couer de la Reine is a collaboration between Valkyrie Selections,  and fourth-generation winemakers Rodolph and Ludivine Marteau and Vincent Leclair. The Marteaus took over their family’s estate in 2010, a 29-hectare property located on the south bank of the river Cher, on clay and flint soils. Leclair assumed leadership in 2014 at his family’s 45-hectare estate in Pouillé, also in the Cher Valley. Together, they have crafted a wine that is a beautiful expression of the Gamay varietal.*

The 2024  Le Coeur de la Reine Touraine is medium-bodied and smooth, with red berry aromas and flavors of raspberries, strawberries, and cherries laced with hints of baking spices and wet stone. Juicy acidity brings it to a long and fruit-driven finish.
