Production & Aging:
Heigold is made using a high-rye double malt mash bill composed of corn, malted German rye, and malted barley. The distillate is proofed down to 110 before barreling, then aged over four years in toasted and charred new American oak barrels sourced from Kelvin Cooperage.

Distinctive Characteristics:
Strong rye presence imparts notable spice and dryness. The use of both malted rye and malted barley adds layers of complexity and a rich malt character. Barrel toasting prior to charring helps develop pronounced caramel, oak, and toasted wood flavors. Despite its relatively young age, it delivers a refined and layered profile.

Ideal Serving Suggestions:
Best sipped neat to enjoy the interplay of spice, malt, and citrus. A drop of water opens up the oak and vanilla. On the rocks, it softens while maintaining complexity. Works well in bold cocktails such as an Old Fashioned or Boulevardier, where the rye spice holds its ground.
