Introduction:
A vibrant and approachable Shiraz from Victoria, Australia, the Billi Billi Shiraz offers a fantastic balance of bold fruit, spice, and silky tannins. Crafted with Mount Langi Ghiran’s hallmark cool-climate finesse, it’s a testament to quality winemaking.

Terrior:
Sourced from Victoria's Grampians region, known for its elevated, cool-climate vineyards with granite-based soils. These conditions allow for slow ripening, resulting in wines with depth, elegance, and a spicy edge.

Appearance:
Deep purple with a garnet rim, showing youthful vibrancy and medium-high intensity.

Nose:
Aromatic and spicy, with notes of blackberries, blueberries, and plums layered with hints of cracked black pepper, violets, and subtle vanilla from oak aging.

Palate:
Medium-bodied with lush dark fruit flavors of black cherry and mulberry, supported by savory spice, black pepper, and earthy undertones. The tannins are smooth and well-integrated, while the bright acidity adds freshness.

Finish:
Lingering and elegant, with a delightful balance of fruit, spice, and a touch of minerality.

Overall Impression:
A versatile and expressive cool-climate Shiraz that delivers depth and vibrancy without being overly heavy. It’s a wine that can stand alone or elevate a meal, making it a crowd-pleaser for any occasion.

Pairing Suggestions:
Pair this Shiraz with slow-cooked lamb shanks, barbecued ribs, or spicy sausages. Vegetarian options include lentil-based stews or stuffed bell peppers with Moroccan spices. Aged cheeses like Manchego or a sharp cheddar also enhance the wine’s peppery notes.

93 points, Decanter:
"An incredible shiraz...amazingly aromatic with a green peppercorn note atop ridiculously ripe fruit. Crunchy tannins form the perfect platform on which the glorious blackberry, licorice, rhubarb, and cherry notes cavort. 70% of this wine is estate fruit, so that goes some way to explaining why this has such an elite flavor.

93 points, Wine Enthusiast:
"Australia's answer to northern Rhône syrah? Like sniffing the innards of a pepper grinder, this aromatic, highly spicy Shiraz also comes with a good dose of blue- and red-berry fruit, terracotta, and an iodine-and-warm earth note. There's power and plushness to the palate, but it is framed in spicy, chiseled tannins and just enough freshness to keep the mouth watering. One of Australia's great shiraz bargains."

93 points, James Halliday:
"Mostly Grampians fruit, though there are contributions from Heathcote, Swan Hill, and Bendigo. This wine is often a happy hunting ground for value, but this release is a particularly good version of it. It's alive with peppery spice and fluid with plum-shot flavor, and while it's medium in weight (at most) it feels silken and satisfying. The spice notes here, wow, they're gorgeous."
