Production & Aging: Michter's Toasted Barrel Finish Bourbon begins as Michter's US*1 Kentucky Straight Bourbon, which is fully matured in charred new American white oak barrels. It then undergoes an additional aging period in a second custom-made barrel constructed from 18-month air-dried wood that is toasted but not charred. This secondary maturation imparts unique flavors and complexity to the bourbon.
