Production & Aging
Old Elk Cigar Cut is a meticulously crafted blend of their cask-finished bourbons, each aged for a minimum of six years. The whiskey undergoes secondary maturation in various casks: Sherry casks for 1.5 years, Armagnac casks for 1.25 years, Port casks for 3 to 8 months, and Cognac casks for 3 to 6 months. This multi-cask finishing process imparts a rich color and complex flavor profile to the bourbon.
