After purchasing the historic Cyrus Alexander homestead, Harry and Maggie Wetzel worked to create a thriving agricultural lifestyle on the property. They raised their children along with their vines in Alexander Valley, providing inspiration and encouragement as they developed the estate together. Today, the fourth generation of their family is growing up among vineyards and next door to the working winery known around the world as “AVV”. Hank Wetzel, his children, and award-winning winemaker Kevin Hall continue the family's pursuit of terroir-driven excellence with a stunning portfolio of Sonoma Valley wines.*

Sin Zin has been beguiling the palates of wine lovers since its first vintage in 1978, and today's wine lives up to its predecessors. A blend of fruit from six different lots that is aged in a combination of new and seasoned American oak barrels, it is classic, all-American, benchmark zinfandel. Aromas of violets and spicy black fruits lead to a full-bodied, well-structured yet silky-textured palate that abounds with flavors of black cherries, cassis, and strawberries layered with accents of cocoa, vanilla, black pepper, and baking spices, with impeccable balance and a lingering finish.
