Poderi Boscarelli is among the most revered estates in Montepulciano, a family-run operation now in its third generation under Luca and Nicolò De Ferrari Corradi, with roots going back to founder Egidio Corradi's first harvest in 1962. The estate Vino Nobile, first bottled in 1968, remains the heart of Boscarelli's production and one of the most reliable and consistent expressions of Prugnolo Gentile* in the appellation.

Boscarelli's 22 hectares of vineyards are concentrated in Cervognano, one of Montepulciano's finest sub-zones, on the northeast-facing slopes at 300 meters above sea level overlooking the Chiana Valley. The soils are alluvial and sandy with good proportions of limestone, silt, clay, and a stony skeleton that ensures excellent drainage and distinctive mineral character - conditions that reliably yield wines of elegance and aging potential. The estate Vino Nobile is sourced from vineyards at least ten years old, selected for the minerality and aromatic precision their soils consistently deliver.**

The 2021 Boscarelli Vino Nobile di Montepulciano has aromas of violets, dried strawberries, dark cherries, and raspberries, with a delicate dusting of spice and subtle toasted wood. Hints of citrus peel and crushed mineral add brightness and focus. The palate is medium-bodied, with wild berry and cherry fruits that carry through from the nose, supported by a dense matrix of chalky tannins and bright, crunchy acidity. Savory earthy notes thread through the  mid-palate, adding the complexity and depth that distinguish Cervognano Vino Nobile from other Sangiovese expressions. The finish is long, with lingering notes of blackberries and a mineral fade.
