Ghost Block is a fifth-generation family-run company that crafts exceptional estate wines in the prized Oakville and Yountville AVAs. Their portfolio features a diverse array of single-varietal and blended wines, each delivering a unique and delicious experience. Committed to sustainability, the Pelissa family proudly farms their vneyards using 100% certified organic practices. Today, Ghost Block continues to be family-owned and run, overseen by 4th and 5th-generation family members who live on and farm the land.

A blend of 96% cabernet sauvignon, 3% malbec, and 1% petit verdot aged for 24 months in (60% new) Fench oak, the 2021 Ghost Block Estate Cabernet Sauvignon "presents a captivating deep ruby-red hue, with luxurious aromas of blackcurrant, ripe plum, and blackberries complemented by subtle notes of cedar, vanilla, dark chocolate, and black peppercorn. The palate has a velvety texture and echoes the aromatic profile. Impeccable balance and finesse unfold with silky-smooth tannins leading the way and a refreshing, lingering acidity." (form winemaker notes)

94 points, Wine Spectator:
"A solid, fruit-driven version, this red offers cassis, plum pâte de fruit, and boysenberry compote flavors backed by licorice and apple wood notes. A late tug of warm earth adds length and drive. Drink now through 2038." (10/31/24 issue)

91 points, Decanter:
"From winemaker Kristi Koford comes an opaque ruby-colored red of 96% Cabernet Sauvignon, 3% Malbec, and 1% Petit Verdot aged 24 months in 60% new French oak. A powerful Estate Cabernet with opulent tannins that take a firm grip on the palate, resolving with toasty oak, caramel, and toffee spices, and black and blue fruit that emerge on the finish. Drinking Window: 2024-2032." (5/19/24)
