A sub-region of Murcia in southeastern Spain, Bullas has the building blocks to make great wines - hot, dry summers, abundant sunshine, wide dirunal temperature varioations, and moderating Mediterranean breezes. It has a long winemaking history but flies under the radar for many wine lovers. You know what that means - bargains galore, just like today's fabulous feature!
The 2024 Revelare Monastrell is a rich, velvety-smooth mono-varietal that belies its $8 price tag. Aromas of blueberry pie, coffee, and vanilla lead to a fleshy, ripe palate resplendent with flavors of blackberry jam and blueberries laced with subtle notes of caramel, woodsmoke, and baking spices. Pliant tannins and bright acidity add balance and bring the wine to a juicy, fruit-driven finish.
ABV: 14.5%
