The 2022 Santa Julia Reserva Malbec comes from Argentina's Uco Valley, located southeast of the city of Mendoza and along the Tunuyán River. Uco's high elevation (3000-4600 feet above sea level) and great sun exposure, alluvial soils, low rainfall, and wide day-to-night temperature variations bring forth ultra-ripe grapes - and it certainly shows in today's stunning wine.
Crafted from 100% malbec and aged in French oak for 10 months, the 2022 Santa Julia Reserva Malbec is resplendent with aromas and flavors of cherries, plums, and blackberries. On the palate, the ripe fruit characters are layered with accents of cocoa, vanilla, and toast. This is a silky wine with pliant tannins and a long finish.

91 points, Wine Advocate:
"There is one more step in precision and clarity in the 2022 Reserva Malbec, which is serious, varietal, and ripe without excess at 14% alcohol and with good freshness and balance. It's nicely textured, with some grip and integrated oak, fine tannins, and an overall sensation of being fine-boned and textured."
91 points, James Suckling:
"A fruity and juicy Reserva with blackberries, dark cherries, and cedar on the nose. Medium-bodied with juicy tannins. Plenty of bright fruit on the center palate with a round, polished structure. Drink or hold."
