Tinto Pesquera is one of four wineries established by Alejandro Fernández and Esperanza Rivera and is the fulfillment of a dream to have one in Ribera del Duero’s Pesquera de Duero, their hometown. Starting with a stone winepress from the 16th century, Tinto Pesquera produced its first wines in 1975 to showcase the terroir of the Ribera del Duero. Thanks to its tireless work, Tinto Pesquera was one of the wineries behind the rise and renown of Ribera del Duero and one of the driving forces behind its Designation of Origin (DO).*

The 2020 Tinto Pesquera Ribera del Duero Reserva was crafted from 100% Tempranillo sourced from vineyards with well-drained, pebbly soils over clay at an altitude of 2600 feel ASL. Aged for 14 months in American oak barrels, it has aromas of red and black fruits with notes of balsamic and cocoa. The palate is full-bodied, with ripe flavors of blackberries and black cherries laced with subtle hints of cedar, coconut, and baking spices. Pliant tannins and balancing acidity provide structure and balance.
