Like Sancerre, the AOC of Menetou-Salon is resplendent with Kimmeridgian soil; this well-drained, chalky, clay marl/limestone mix, with layers of ancient seashells, imparts a gorgeous, complex minerality to the wines and highlights their compelling citrus characters. Domaine Chavet has been cultivating grapes and making wines in the region since the 17th century. Their intimate knowledge of the region's terroir enables them to craft wines with purity and precision.

The 2025 Domaine Chavet  Menetou-Salon Blanc "La Côte" has bright citrus aromas with flinty, herbaceous undertones. The palate is crisp and elegant, with flavors of lemon and lime zest entwined with mineral freshness and bright acidity that brings it to a long, citrussy finish.
