Colli di Luni DOC is an inter-regional appellation, shared between Tuscany and Liguria, overlooking the Mediterranean Sea and protected by the Apuan Alps to the north. Viticulture in the Colli di Luni has been documented since Roman times, when the town of Luni was known for the trade of white marble, timber, cheeses, and wine.*
Cantina Boriassi began the early 1900s, when Rosa and Antonio Galletti purchased the land and established a self-sustaining farm where grapevines, among other crops, were cultivated and wine was produced for house consumption. As the years passed, the next generations of Boriassi focused their efforts towards viticulture and winemaking and, in the 1980s, the cultivation of the local varietals became the primary purpose of the company.*
With only 3 hectares under vine, current caretakers Mirco Boriassi and his son Andrea lavish abundant attention on their grapes and have adopted organic farming practices. The vines' high altitude and proximity to the Mediterranean Sea bring forth exquisitely balanced wines.
Blended with 5% each Albarola and Trebbiano and vinified in stainless steel, the 2025 Cantina Boriassi 'Linaro' Colli di Luni Vermentino has aromas and flavors of fresh Mandarin orange, grapefruit, and lemon zest layered with floral-tinged notes of wet stone. The palate has zesty, juicy acidity that brings it to a mouthwatering finish.
