The name Ken Forrester is practically synonymous with South African Chenin Blanc. His first wine was bottled in 1994 and sourced from vines on his property, which was purchased in 1993. (Some vineyards were planted as far back as 1970, and they are still thriving today.) Soon Ken was at the forefront of the Chenin revival in South Africa. He went on to be one of the founding members of the Chenin Blanc Association and serves as the current chairperson.*
The 2025 Ken Forrester Old Vine Reserve Chenin Blanc was barrel- fermented, aged on the lees, and spent 9 months in French oak barrels to add weight and depth of flavor. Full bodied and well rounded, it is bursting with aromas and flavors of dried apricots and pineapples laced with hints of vanilla and honey that last long on the finish.
