Cuvelier Los Andes was established by Baptiste Cuvelier, whose family has owned Château Léoville Poyferré and Château Le Crock for over 100 years. Intrigued by the quality of Malbecs coming out of Mendoza, he built his winery and planted vineyards in the Uco Valley, where the high altitudes, generous sun exposure, wide diurnal temperature variations, and alluvial soils bring forth rich, expressive wines.
The 2020 Cuvelier Los Andes Malbec has aromas of red and black fruits, violets, and vanilla. The palate is full-bodied and abounds with flavors of blackberries, black plums, and black cherries entwined with accents of tobacco, mocha, and slate. Pliant tannins and bright acidity give the wine structure and lift.

92 points, James Suckling:
"Black plums, tobacco, violets, and cocoa powder on the nose. Some vanilla bean. It’s full-bodied, balanced and fine-grained, with tension and tightness."
