Established in 1965, Les Vignerons D’ Estézargues is a cooperative of growers in the village of Estézargues, about 20 minutes from Avignon. In the 1980s, the co-op shifted towards natural winemaking thanks to the arrival of Jean-François Nicq, a talented winemaker influenced by the ideas of natural wine legends like Marcel Lapierre. Nicq put the
co-op firmly on track towards respectful farming and practically no additives - no commercial yeasts, no enzymes, no gum arabic, no acidifiers, and minimal sulfur. Armelle Rouault (CEO & winemaker) and Anna Tyack (Sales Director) took over the reins in 2021 and have continue Nicq's dedication to the production of natural wines.*

Fermented and aged in stainless steel, the 2024 Les Vignerons D’ Estézargues Taparas Côtes du Rhône Rouge, a blend of Grenache, Syrah, and Carignan, has aromas of red and black fruits, violets, and brambly earth. The palate is medium-bodied and silky, with flavors of red cherries, blackberries, and raspberries entwined with peppery spice and herbs. The wine is infused with bright acidity that lifts the fruit characters and brings them to a long finish - it's totally crushable!
