You haven't lived, wine lovers, until you have experienced the red wines of Bordeaux. Powerful, well-structured,  terroir-driven, and of course, delicious, they are unlike any other wines in the world. And what can I say about half-bottles? Every wine lover should have some on hand for those occasions when only a half-bottle will do.  Today, stock up on some half-bottles with the absolute BEST!

Château Tour de Pez, named for a 13th century tower that once overshadowed the property, has been in existence for over two centuries. The estate employs sustainable farming practices with the belief that doing do not only benefits the earth, but also results in purer, higher quality wines. This commitment to environmental stewardship, as well as the abundant care lavished on the vineyards, is evident in today's sensational offer.

A blend of 63% Merlot, 28% Cabernet Sauvignon, and 9% Cabernet Franc, the 2019 Château Tour de Pez Saint-Estèphe Bordeaux has aromas of wild blueberries, crème de cassis, and black raspberries layered with subtle accents of pencil lead, menthol, and lavender. The palate is full-bodied and smooth, with firm yet pliant tannins and flavors of cassis and blackberries laced with notes of tobacco leaf and baking spices. The finish is defined by a streak of freshness that keeps the wine taut and lingering notes of black fruits.

93 Wine Enthusiast:
"From the Pez plateau west of the village of Saint-Estèphe, this wine is dense and structured. Against this, the black fruits and perfumed acidity give the wine plenty of promise." (7/1/22)

93 points, Natalie Maclean:
"Château Tour de Pez from Bordeaux is a powerful, full-bodied red wine offering notes of blackcurrant, dark plum, cedar, and violets. This dry Cru Bourgeois displays firm tannins and concentrated fruit that will soften beautifully over the next nine years. Winemaker Philippe Dambrine crafts this structured wine from vineyards on the renowned Pez plateau west of Saint-Estèphe, where gravelly soils and proximity to the Gironde estuary create ideal conditions for producing age-worthy Bordeaux. The estate has been producing exceptional wines since the 19th century and maintains the traditional Médoc winemaking philosophy of balance, structure and aging potential. This promising Cru Bourgeois earned Wine Enthusiast's Cellar Selection designation and will continue to develop layers of leather and tobacco through 2034." (12/20/25)
