The 2019 Enrique Foster Bonarda is sourced from Los Árboles, an appellation in the Tunuyán department of Mendoza’s Uco Valley that lies between 3200 and 4000 feer ASL. Its alluvial soils, cool nights, and abundant sunlight create ideal conditions for balanced, expressive wines.
Tasting notes:
Aged in a combination of new (10%) and seasoned oak barrels, the wine has aromas and flavors of black cherries, raspberries, blackberries, and blueberries laced with notes of cocoa and baking spices. Balancing acidity brings it to a long finish.
Press:
91 points, James Suckling:
"This is nicely complex with purple fruit and fresh flowers. Medium body, creamy tannins and a light chocolate and berry aftertaste. Drink and enjoy."
