Joseph Phelps Vineyards is a family-owned winery committed to crafting world class, estate-grown wines. Founded in 1973 when Joe Phelps purchased a former cattle ranch near St. Helena in the Napa Valley, the winery now controls and farms nearly 375 acres of vines on eight estate vineyards in St. Helena, the Stags Leap District, Oakville, Rutherford, Oak Knoll District, Carneros and South Napa Valley.

Innisfree is made from blocks of Cabernet Sauvignon that miss the cut for either the Phelps Insignia, or the Napa Valley labels. Often that happens in years when the crop is generous. Innisfree is a wine that has been specifically crafted for wine lists at the top restaurant across the country. It sees a touch less oak than either the Insignia or the namesake Napa Valley Cabernet and it drinks a bit sooner. The 2019 Innisfree is drinking absolutely spot on today.

Red cherry, cranberry and pomegranate on the nose, clove and dark chocolate behind them, and a fresh palate with integrated tannin. This is a Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon that can be enjoyed on it's own but it will absolutely SHINE when paired with a quality cut of beef or lamb.
