The grapes are sourced from the Central Penedès, situated between Sant Sadurní d'Anoia and Vilafranca del Penedès, overlooking the Montserrat Mountains to the northwest. The Penedès is Cava's spiritual home, where the combination of Mediterranean climate, chalky limestone soils, and cool maritime breezes create ideal growing conditions for Cava varietals. The estate vineyard is approximately 35 years old and farmed using traditional methods.
Lees-aged for 18 months in bottle before release (per Reserva qualifications), the Clos Amador Cava Brut Delicat Reserva, a blend of Macabeo, Xarel·lo, and Parellada, has aromas of lime zest and green apples accented by hints of stone and orchard fruits and a faint, biscuity note. The palate has flavors of green apples, ripe pears, citrus fruits, and brioche that move across a smooth, well-integrated palate with moderate acidity. The finish is clean and refreshing, with lingering citrus notes.
