PRODUCT OVERVIEW:
Proprietors and winemakers Marjorie and Stéphane Gallet both grew up in the French countryside, and wine was an integral part of every meal. After meeting at the School of Agronomy in Montpellier, they spent their free time exploring the vineyards of Languedoc-Rousillon. They were particularly taken with the Cotes Catalan and its terroir, which consists of black schist and white quartz. Determined to make wine here, they both spent several years learning the craft at other wineries. Marjorie established Roc des Anges in 2001 with 10 hectares of vineyards and Stéphane joined her a few years later. Today, they have over 25 hectares of vines and work with local growers as well.

Both Marjorie and Stéphane believe that their terroir is the driving force behind their wines and that they are merely stewards of the magical process of transforming fruit into wines unique to the appellation. They work the land from a terroir-driven perspective, respecting its nature and seeking its most sincere expression.

Today's rosé is a blend of cinsault, grenache, and syrah with aromas and flavors of peach, melon, grapefruit, strawberry, and wet stone (the latter a nod to the terroir).  Vibrant acidity makes this wine perfect for a warm, sunny afternoon on the patio.
