Terrior
Situated in the mountainous Slopes of Aigialeia, Rouvalis’s vineyards benefit from high altitudes, which contribute to cool temperatures that preserve acidity in the grapes. The limestone-rich soils add a pronounced mineral quality to the wine, and the breezes from the Gulf of Corinth provide an ideal microclimate for Roditis, resulting in fresh, structured wines with a touch of salinity and refined complexity.

Appearance
Pale straw with greenish hues, clear and bright, showing its youth and freshness.

Nose
Delicate aromas of citrus zest, green apple, and pear, complemented by floral notes of chamomile and a subtle touch of Mediterranean herbs. A characteristic mineral undertone hints at the limestone soils of the Aigialeia slopes.

Palate
Light-bodied and refreshing, with flavors of lemon, green apple, and peach. The wine’s vibrant acidity and mineral-driven structure balance its fruit-forward profile, creating a harmonious and clean mouthfeel. A touch of salinity and a slight herbal note adds complexity and depth to the palate.

Finish
Long, crisp, and mineral-focused, with lingering citrus and a gentle saline note, leaving a refreshing impression.

Overall Impression
The 2023 Rouvalis Asprolithi Roditis is a well-balanced, expressive Greek white wine that beautifully reflects the unique terroir of the Slopes of Aigialeia. Its lively acidity, mineral character, and delicate fruit make it an excellent companion for seafood, fresh salads, and Mediterranean dishes, as well as a delightful aperitif for warm-weather occasions.
