The “Cuvée des Terrasses" has been a smash hit here at Bin Ends since 2012, when we sold out our stash of the 2009 vintage and cultivated a huge fan base among many of our customers. This fabulous, modern-style Rhône red was a spectacular value, with its layers of intense fruit, spiciness, earthiness, supple tannins, and ridiculous price - and it still is!
The 2021 Château Pesquié "Cuvée des Terrasses" is a blend of organically farmed grenache and syrah grapes that are sourced from the various terroirs of the estate, ranging from gravelly soil to limestone to iron-oxide-rich clay. The grenache spent 6 months in a combination of stainless steel tanks and oak foudres, while the syrah aged for 6 months in neutral oak barrels. All this diversity in grapes, terroir, and vinification has resulted in a compelling wine with ripe black fruits, sturdy yet pliant tannins, and undertones of wet stone and peppery herbs.

92 points, Jeb Dunnuck:
"A rough blend of 60% grenache and 40% syrah (there are a few other varieties in there), the 2021 Ventoux Terrasses offers a juicy grenache nose of ripe red and black berries, peppery herbs, and violets, with some chalky minerality that comes through on the palate. Medium-bodied, lively, and fresh, with good density, it delivers ripe tannins and a great finish."
