Silverado Vineyards was one of the first four wineries in the Napa Valley's Stags Leap District to plant cabernet in the 1960s. With over 300 acres planted to vine, Silverado Vineyards spans some of Napa Valley’s most celebrated AVAs, including Miller Ranch in Yountville, Mt. George in Coombsville, and Soda Creek/Borreo Ranch within the Napa Valley. Today, under the ownership of Bill and Carol Foley and the leadership of Courtney Foley, Silverado Vineyards continues to create the best wines possible from the beautiful Silverado Vineyards. (winery notes)
Sourced from Mt. George and Silverado Vineyards, the 2021 Silverado Vineyards Estate Grown Cabernet Sauvignon has aromas of ripe black plum, dark chocolate, and Italian herbs that create a complex and inviting bouquet. On the palate, the wine is full-bodied with flavors of black plum and dark chocolate, supported by firm, fine-grained tannins. The finish is persistent, leaving a lasting impression of dark fruit and subtle spice.

94 points, Decanter:
"An elegant, stylish cabernet with upfront swagger and flair in its heady bouquet of rose petals, dusty minerals, cherry fruit, and cassis notes. Medium to full-bodied with soft, almost satiny tannins that glide the wine to a juicy finish." (5/12/24)
94 points, Wine Enthusiast:
"This wine offers classic cabernet character that is both delicious and well structured. Flavors of Italian herbs, black plum, and dark chocolate coat the mouth, carried by firm while fine-grained tannins and a persistent finish. Upright and well balanced." (7/1/24)
93 points, Wine Spectator:
"A textbook '21 Napa cab, with ripe and vivid notes of Linzer torte, violet, and boysenberry racing through, backed by a graphite edge that extends the savory-tinged finish. Offers a gloss of toast, with ample fruit for balance. Drink now through 2036." (7/31/24)
