This is one of the fabulous cuvées from The House of Bréban (Vins Bréban). Established by Raymond Bréban in Provence, Vins Bréban has been making wine in the region since 1952. Since then, two generations have been managing the company with the same passion and philosophy regarding quality. Jean-Jacques Bréban took the reins from his father, Raymond, in 1968. Jean-Jacques’ son and daughter, Laurent and Julie, have joined their father in continuing the family tradition. Today, they are famous in France and all over the world for their stunning Provençal wines.
The 2025 Les Hauts Plateaux Alpes de Haute Provence Rosé is a blend of grenache, syrah, and cinsault sourced from Alpes de Haute Provence located in the southern foothills of the Alps. Here, the hot summer days are moderated by cooling mountain breezes. These conditions of terroir bring forth lighter wines with heady aromatics.
The wine has aromas of wild strawberries, raspberries, and red currants accompanied by hints of grapefruit, rose petals, and subtle notes of thyme and lavender. The palate is light and refreshing, with flavors of raspberries and cranberries laced with accents of pink grapefruit and lemon zest. A slight mineral edge from the limestone soils enhances the wine’s structure, while the dry profile and crisp acidity create a refreshing, mouthwatering texture. The finish is clean, crisp, and mineral-driven, with lingering red fruit and floral notes.
