Chiaretto di Bardolino is the name of rosé wines made from vineyards surrounding the town of Bardolino on Lake Garda. These rosés are very fresh, with bright acidity that makes them terrific accompaniments to foods that we tend to enjoy during the warmer months - and of course, they are terrific sans cuisine.

Roberto Bricolo established Gorgo in 1973 with 22 hectares. Today he has over 60 hectares and runs the estate with his daughter and chief winemaker, Roberta. Gorgo's wines are fresh, authentic representations of the region and have been widely recognized by Gambero Rosso as well as the rest of the Italian wine press. Gorgo sits on glacial moraine just southeast of Lake Garda. The lightly textured soil consists of rock fragments, pebbles, humus, and silt rich in calcium carbonate. The certified organic vineyards are managed using traditional local methods, including the use of organic fertilizers and hand-harvesting, which can take up to 45 days.*

The 2025 Gorgo Chiaretto di Bardolino has aromas and flavors of cherries, strawberries, and raspberries laced with subtle hints of citrus and stone fruits. The palate is crisp and light-bodied, with mineral notes and herbs woven through the fruit characters. Vibrant, juicy acidity brings the wine to a long finish.
