Established in 2010 by three friends with a love of great bourbon and racing thoroughbreds, Pinhook Bourbon has become one of the GREAT success stories among the latest generation of American whiskey makers. Working out of the famous Old Taylor Distillery in Frankfort Kentucky, partner/distiller Sean Josephs has developed a distinctive style of Bourbon and Rye that has captured the eye (and the palate) of bartenders, spirits critics, and bourbon fans all across the country.
The secret formula at Pinhook Bourbon, is that Josephs takes a winemaker’s approach to whiskey by blending to highlight unique attributes of mature barrels and setting at a proof where the blend drinks best.This approach results in the best, not the same, whiskey with each vintage.

Bourbondini is crafted from 75% Corn, 15% Rye, and 10% Malted Barley. All grains utilized were locally sourced and are non-GMO. After three years of barrel aging, Kentucky ground fed, limestone filtered spring water is used to bring the finished Bourbon to the desired 116 proof. The result of these efforts produces a Bourbon of considerable complexity and alcohol integration.
The 2022 vintage of High Proof Bourbon showcases a nose bursting with fresh fig, apple cider, marzipan, and clove. These lead to a rich palate of dried papaya, coffee, cinnamon, and burnt caramel.
We have 33 bottles of this highly prized Bourbon and sadly there will be no more of the 2022 behind it.
